When you write, tell us what you were doing and what happened. If you can, include your iPhone model and iOS version. It saves a round trip.

Getting started

How do I log a meal? Tap the camera button, photograph your plate, and wait a few seconds. BitePing estimates the calories and macros. Check the result, correct anything that looks wrong, and save it.

Can I log without a photo? Yes. Describe the meal in words, or enter the numbers yourself. Both create a normal entry.

How accurate is it? It is an estimate, not a measurement. A photo cannot show how much oil is in a pan or how large a portion really is. Treat the numbers as a useful guide, and edit anything that looks off — every entry stays editable.

Where do my daily targets come from? From the profile you set during onboarding: your sex, age, height, weight, activity level and goal. You can override any target in Settings → Daily targets.

Subscription

What do I get? Unlimited AI meal analysis, your full history, weekly charts and streaks.

Is there a free trial? Yes — three days free on the yearly plan, for new subscribers.

How do I cancel? Cancel in the App Store, not in BitePing. Open Settings → Manage subscription, or go to the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or Apple will charge for the next period.

I already paid but the app still asks me to subscribe. Open Settings → Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If it still does not unlock, write to us.

I have a code. On the paywall, tap Redeem code and enter it.

I want a refund. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in.

Problems

The analysis fails or times out. Check your internet connection first. Photograph the food from above, with the whole plate in frame and decent light. If it keeps failing, write to us.

I hit the daily limit. There is a cap of 30 AI analyses per day. It exists to keep costs sane. Manual and text entries are unlimited.
